Definition of the portal

All website areas under the domains ‘yourhousinggroup.co.uk’ and ‘yourhomehub.co.uk’ make up the website(s) for Your Housing Group Ltd.  Access to and use of these websites and all their functions are subject to the outlined terms and conditions and policies. Your continued use of this site is taken as acceptance of these terms and conditions and the associated policies and copyright information.

We aim to make sure that the website(s) and portal is up to date and does not contain any errors. However, Your Housing Group Ltd does not guarantee the accuracy or validity of any content.

For customers who hold a tenancy with Your Housing Group, the portal is given the name ‘Your Home Hub’.

Your Account and Password

Access to and use of the secure portal is restricted to authorised customers only. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the server on which the portal is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the portal. You must not attack the portal via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack or by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful.

By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and may be subject to prosecution.

We may report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them.

In the event of such a breach, your right to use the portal will cease immediately.

Access to the portal is free of charge but you are required to register before you can use it. If accessing the portal through a mobile device you may be charged by the relevant service provider to access the internet. We have no control over any charges you may incur accessing the portal.

When you receive a password or are asked to provide such information as part of our website security procedures you must treat such information as confidential. Your Housing Group will not take responsibility for any unauthorised use of your account that occurs through you not taking adequate measures to protect your account information.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your password or other security information, you must change your password as soon as possible and notify us.

You shall be responsible for the inputting or safekeeping of any data, passwords or other information of any nature entered on the portal.

Our rights

We have the right to disable any user email address (from future registration) or password, at any time, if you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

We reserve the right to refuse any application to open an account and/or to suspend and/or terminate any account at any time at our sole discretion and without providing you with reasons for our decision.

We will not be liable to any user for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with use of, or inability to use, the portal; or use of or reliance on any content displayed on the portal. 

Please note that in particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue; business interruption; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the portal or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.
